Lovers Library." Birds pictured here have complete information regarding their habits, as well as accurate
illustrations. There are 514 color plates, 106 from original paintings by Louis Agassiz Fuertes, while
others are the works of artists R. I. Brasher, R. Bruce Horsfall, and Henry Thurston. B/W photos, along
with substantial material, are from the National Association of Audubon Societies, the US Department of
Agriculture, the American Museum of Natural History, and private collections. It is truly the total bird
book.
